Fiddlehead Boatworks was born in Bradford, VT by Mike Collins in January 1991 and relocated to Annapolis in 1995.  A partnership was formed in 1997 between Mike and Winston Kinard to further pursue yacht repair and management.  Fiddlehead has always, since ’97, specialized in projects refused by other companies (last resort) as well as correcting errors made by others.  This generally translates into the restoration and maintenance of all manner of yachts.

 

Mike Collins is an ABYC Certified Master Marine Technician in marine systems , marine electric and marine corrosion.  He is also a specialist in marine electronic installation and a master carpenter with over 40 years of experience.

 

Winston Kinard is a professional rigger and yacht logistics manager with over 25 years spent keeping spars upright, performing well and listening to customers who need a person to talk to about the general state of their very expensive “holes in the water”.

 

Fiddlehead Boatworks is mobile and travels all over the Maryland Tidewater region with customers from Solomons Island to Northern Virginia to Havre De Grace.  Fiddlehead is fully insured to work at all local marinas and will gladly come to your private dock to work if necessary.  All inquires whether by phone, text or email will be returned within 24 hours.
